Sometimes when I have a hard time finding words to express the jumble of emotions and thoughts rolling around in my head, I am able to find the simplest poem, quote, or combination of words to aid me. The above poem by Lang Leav is likely meant to be read in a romantic sense, however it’s different in my situation. It’s not a person who changed, who is changing… but a place.

This past weekend, Joe and I took a day trip up to Pine Mountain, LaGrange, and Hogansville to do some exploring/antiquing and just get out of Columbus. We know we want to plan an exclusive trip dedicated to checking out Callaway Gardens, but for today, we were content to explore the city and check out some of the local antique shops. This is our favorite pastime, because even if we don’t buy anything we become inspired and rejuvenated by new sights and experiences!

We chose this as a way to celebrate the height of the winter season, and although we ran into a few bumps and unforeseen cultural differences in availability, I’m so in love with all of these dresses! It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas
For me, Christmas has always been a blanket term for the holiday season. I’ve always been aware that there are more holidays with a much longer history than Christmas, so it’s always been a bit of a no-brainer to me, as someone with no real subscription to any religion, to just soak up the wonder of the holidays.
