Guys. I can’t even tell you how excited I was to get into this campaign from Influenster. I get to try BOTH of Kat Von D’s revived fragrances for FREE!! Since these are mini bottles for sample purposes, they don’t include the full design of the bottles, which are gorgeous.  Kat von D sketched the design herself, and it’s said that she designed the full sized bottles to resemble a human heart when held in your hand. Creepy and macabre? Yes. Awesome and gorgeous? Also, yes.

Military Wife Life

copypasteimage-1

The United States military has been engrained in my life since day one. My father was in the Marine Corps for the first sixteen years of my life, we lived in a town that was home to Parris Island, the east coast’s Marine Corps Recruit Depot. Everywhere you looked there were either current military members or veterans within seeing distance. I wouldn’t even know how to function in a place where the military lifestyle wasn’t constantly present.

A huge thanks to Rashi for the award. It feels amazing to know that you took an interest in my blog, especially so early in my blogging journey! Everyone should go give her blog a read, she’s written some very empowering posts that make my feminist side cheer!

Story Time // Sketchy Hotels and Creepy Jazz Crawls

You know how sometimes you’ll think about something completely random that happened years ago and then can’t stop thinking about it? Time for a story, everyone.

When I was in high school I was painfully awkward and shy, and the times that I wasn’t shy the awkward took over and tended to make everything just weird. Like a cluster of weird.

So the choir I was in went on a trip to perform at the Dizzy Gillespie Jazz Festival upstate in a town called Cheraw. Everything was great about performing and listening to the music, seeing the town.
