I was recently nominated by Rashi Gupta over at Boundless Never Cries for the Liebster Award. This is a virtual award that is given by bloggers to other bloggers as a way to make connections and show support. I’m very honored that someone has shown interest in my newbie blog!
A huge thanks to Rashi for the award. It feels amazing to know that you took an interest in my blog, especially so early in my blogging journey! Everyone should go give her blog a read, she’s written some very empowering posts that make my feminist side cheer!
Rashi’s Questions for the Nominees
1. Why did you start blogging?
I decided to start blogging as a way of getting my thoughts out of my head and to help with my anxiety. Creative outlets like writing, crafting, and sewing calm my anxiety. I also really hope to be able to make connections with kindred spirits and fellow bloggers and creative minds.
2. When life pushes you down, how do you motivate yourself?
I let myself cry. I pitch a fit, mope and complain. I give myself a short time period to get these feelings out of the way, because there’s no point in pretending like I don’t want to cry when things get hard. But once I get all of that out, I look to my fellow bloggers to motivate me, as well as watching something motivating on Netflix. I do something creative, whether it’s a personal photography project or sewing or baking. The more I exercise my creativity, the more confident I feel.
3. What is the weirdest/craziest thing you’ve ever done?
I’ve done my fair share of weird things, but I suppose it’s all relative weirdness. I guess I’d have to go with the fact that I enjoy ranch dressing on my hot dogs? I tend to have a lot of pregnant-lady-food-cravings food choices despite never being pregnant in my life. You know what’s really good? Dehydrated squid. And fried bologna. And sardines on saltine crackers with Miracle Whip.
I know what my life is about, son.
4. What would you do if you could drop all your responsibilities and problems?
Travel. Seriously though, who wouldn’t? There’s so much diversity in the world, with so much to see and so many unique and vastly different people to meet! I’d love to travel as much as possible!
5. What is the best place you visited? How did you like it?
The best place I have ever visited was Walt Disney World. I haven’t had much chance to travel, especially outside the country. I’ve been all over the United States, but honestly I just loved being at Disney. I’ve been about six or seven times in my life so far, from when I was 4. It’s always different every time. My favorite park is Epcot though, probably because it’s the closest I’ve been to traveling the world.
6. How did you like my blog? Any suggestions?
I enjoyed Rashi’s blog a lot! I would love to learn more about Rashi through her blog. Her posts are wonderful and motivational, but I don’t feel like I have gotten to know her as a person through reading her blog. Rashi, let us get to know you! I know I love knowing more about the person whose blog I am reading!
